What is Women in STEM?

Women in STEM (WiSTEM) is a national network of high school girls who aim to uplift female voices in the STEM fields. Each independent WiSTEM chapter is led by a designated ambassador(s) and reports directly to the central organization, which currently serves over 3,500 members in 30 states and 14 countries worldwide.

Ways to Partner

Mentorship: WiSTEM firmly believes that mentorship is a critical component of increasing female participation in the STEM fields. Currently, WiSTEM members engage in Mentorship by either connecting with female industry professionals in their area or forming lasting bonds with university students and WiSTEM alumni through our Mentorship Program. Partnering means widening the scope of Mentorship and engagement opportunities for respective members. Individuals interested in our Mentorship Program may use this link

Networking: At its heart, WiSTEM is the network it cultivates amongst girls from around the world. Our community is continually strengthened with each organization-wide event we hold–be it panelist discussions, webinars, workshops, podcast interviews, seasonal drives, or coffee chats. Thus, we invite partners to share our platform in these events to provide members with enriching experiences.

Outreach: Outreach is essential for involving others outside of the WiSTEM community in engaging more girls–especially younger ones–in STEM. WiSTEM is proud to use its media platforms to promote the visibility of female figures in STEM, and through meaningful partnerships, we hope to announce updates of exciting WiSTEM events and opportunities or collaborate on original content. Please note that WiSTEM currently does not offer promotional opportunities at this time; as critical touchpoints for our members and ambassadors, we prefer to keep our content WiSTEM-focused. Thank you for understanding.

THAT’S NOT ALL…
