Meet Our Student Leadership Team

  • Rebecca Chung

    President

    Rebecca is a senior at the Dalton School in New York City. She is interested in many different facets of STEM such as chemistry, space science, machine learning, computer-aided design, and materials. In her role as WiSTEM's President, she works hard to support and foster community for girls interested in STEM. In her free time, she teaches kids in a STEM afterschool program, plays the violin, watches the Yankees, and is on a quest to make the perfect ceramic teapot!

  • Lily Cockerham

    Director of Educational Programs

    Lily is a senior from Houston, Texas and serves as the Director of Educational Programs for the 2026-27 school year. She is focused on contributing to and maintaining accessible STEM curriculums and educational initiatives for the WiSTEM community. Lily is passionate about expanding access to STEM education for women and marginalized groups globally and is excited to build community and advance the WiSTEM mission this year. In her free time, she is an avid reader, multi-sport athlete, and cinema enthusiast.

  • Beatrice Kronby

    Director of Educational Resources

    Beatrice is a sophomore at the Dalton School in New York City. A member of her school's robotics team, she is very interested in closing the gender gap in STEM, and especially in engineering. Through her role as Director of Educational Resources, she hopes to give girls an gateway into the world of STEM through resources such as online coding classes and assessable summaries of scientific research. Outside of school, Beatrice tutors kids in math and science, belongs to a diving club, and listens to audiobooks while crocheting!

  • Brianna Su

    Director of Mentorship

    Brianna is a sophomore from California, and she is passionate in the humanities and mathematics. As Director of Mentorship, she can't wait to help students discover new opportunities for their dream goals in different STEM fields. In her free time, Brianna loves to reread her favorite murder mystery novels and rewatch her comfort shows.

  • Felicia Xu

    Director of Mentorship

    Felicia is a junior from The Woodlands, Texas and serves as the Director of Mentorship for WiSTEM. She is passionate about engineering, mathematics, and biology, and hopes to inspire more girls to pursue STEM by expanding access to mentorship and learning opportunities. Outside of STEM, she enjoys traveling, singing, and hanging out with friends.

  • Erin Johnson

    Director of Outreach

    Erin is a junior at Mission San Jose High School in the San Fransisco Bay Area, California. Through her roles as the Director of Outreach for WiSTEM, and as the Co-Vice President of her school's WiSTEM club, she hopes to make STEM more accessible to everyone. She is passionate about a wide variety of STEM topics, including computer science, biology, and artificial intelligence. Outside of STEM, Erin enjoys speech and debate, singing, and creating new coffee recipes!

  • Rhea Perabattula

    Director of Outreach

    Rhea is a junior from Cary, NC and serves as the Director of Outreach for WiSTEM. She works to expand WiSTEM’s impact by building connections with students, schools, organizations, and communities. Through her role, she helps create opportunities for collaboration, engagement, and outreach that inspire more young women to pursue their interests in STEM. Rhea is passionate about making STEM education accessible to everyone and creating a welcoming environment where students can learn, grow, and succeed. Outside of STEM, she enjoys volunteering, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new opportunities to make a positive impact in her community.

  • Yedina Bereket

    Director of Outreach

    Yedina is a senior from Rockville, Maryland, and currently serves as a WiSTEM Director of Outreach. She is passionate about all things microbiology, and studying the intersection between science and social justice. She is excited to work in WiSTEM this year to help make science more accessible to passionate women all over the globe, and expand her perspective as she meets and interacts with other student activists! In her free time, Yedina loves to read comics and fantasy books, listen to musicals (her favorite is Hadestown), and try new foods.

  • Thanishkka Vijayabaskar

    Digital Media Manager

    Thanishkka is a junior from Georgia and serves as the Digital Media Manager for Women in STEM. Previously, she was the Programs Manager of Resources, where she helped create educational materials and shared initiatives that made STEM more accessible for students. She loves bringing ideas to life through technology and can often be found organizing hackathons, building projects, or exploring new developments in the tech field. Outside of STEM, she enjoys getting lost in a good book and immersing herself in music!

  • Vasundhara Joshi

    Event Coordinator

    Vasundhara is a senior from Calgary, Alberta, excited to join Women in STEM as an Event Coordinator. Passionate about STEM education and promoting inclusivity, she is the founder and president of her school's Women in STEM Club, where she works to empower young women and create opportunities for students to explore STEM fields while helping bridge the gender gap. Outside of academics and leadership, she enjoys playing basketball, exploring the outdoors, and painting!
