Co-President
Katherine is a senior at San Marino High School. She is one of the two presidents of the WiSTEM organization. She is passionate about the intersection of science and humanities, hoping to utilize an international, multifaceted background to advance personalized medicine, especially for women. Katherine is a matcha enthusiast, true crime listener, and figurine collector in her free time.

Miranda Castellá Falkenberg
Co-President
Miranda Castella is a senior at Escuela Americana in El Salvador and serves as the Co-President of Women in STEM as well as the ambassador for her school’s chapter. She is passionate about mathematics and biology and hopes to use her love for these subjects to help close the gender gap in STEM. Miranda adores playing golf, baking sweet treats, watching a good rom-com, and enjoying the occasional morning latte. She plans to pursue a career in biomedical engineering to make medical supplies more accessible to people around the world.

Adhya Dughal
Global Advocacy + Development Director
A senior at William Mason High School, Adhya serves as the WiSTEM President of Global Advocacy and Development and Ambassador for her chapter. She works on numerous internal and external projects to better WiSTEM for all members and advocates for women's rights in the STEM space. Adhya is passionate about the intersection of public policy and medicine, with a particular focus on the field of neuroscience. In her free time, Adhya enjoys delving into philosophy, listening to true crime podcasts, and volunteering for her community.

Vice-President of Education
Vishista Vulpala is a senior from Mason, Ohio and serves as the Vice President of Education for WiSTEM. She helps create inclusive and engaging educational programming for members around the world. Vishista is passionate about encouraging more girls to explore STEM and to find a supportive space within the WiSTEM community. Outside of STEM, she enjoys reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants and coffee shops!

Vice-President of Outreach
Bella, a senior from Bangkok, Thailand, is WiSTEM’s Vice President of Outreach. She is focused on expanding the organization globally to reach her goal to provide more early opportunities for girls to discover their potential in STEM. Passionate about inclusivity, Bella is dedicated to ensuring all voices are heard and represented in WiSTEM's mission. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, cooking, and going to the gym.

Anya Matthew
Vice-President of Mentorship
Anya Mathew has been involved with the WiSTEM since her freshman year. Passionate about creating space for young women in STEM, Anya loves connecting with new members and helping grow WiSTEM’s opportunities and events. Whether she’s leading projects or cheering others on behind the scenes, she’s always eager to support, mentor, and empower the next generation of STEM leaders. Anya loves to write and runs her own publishing organization, uplifting marginalized voices and spotlighting resilience and creativity.

Helena is a senior from Toronto, Canada. She is passionate about visual arts and sciences. She enjoys designing and creating content for people to enjoy and learn from! She hopes her role as a Dig. Media + Pub. Manager helps promote women in STEM. Helena also has many hobbies including swimming, reading, and crocheting to name a few.

Yiwen Gong is a senior from the Bay Area, CA and has a passion for data science, statistics, and AI. As one of the Digital Media + Publicity Coordinators, she will design promotional content for events, and manage the social media and newsletters. She aims to pursue a career in STEM and is excited to explore how technology and AI can be applied across diverse fields.

Roshanay Parwez
Digital Media + Publicity Coordinator
Roshanay (she/her) is an A-level student and an aspiring Mechanical Engineer from Peshawar, Pakistan. She is extremely passionate about creating and has a strong interest in the subjects of art, physics, and math. Having been involved in painting, graphic design, and animation from a very early age, she finds it fascinating how the use of light can change perspective, which is what drew her to these vast topics. Moreover, she aims to help those who see the world through a different lens and to create an inclusive community where everyone can thrive. Her hobbies also include reading, photography, swimming, and upcycling clothes.

Azka is in her final year of high school and serves as a WiSTEM ambassador and now an event coordinator! She loves science, being involved in different clubs and councils, and connecting with people in and outside of school. In her free time, she is usually cooking, playing badminton, or just staying active. She is excited to keep exploring where STEM takes her!

Programs Manager, Resources
Thanishkka is a sophomore from Georgia and the Programs Manager of Resources for Women in STEM. She is dedicated to creating tools and experiences that make STEM both exciting and accessible. Whether leading workshops or launching student projects, her goal is to inspire girls to explore and realize their full potential. When she’s not typing away at a VS Code screen, she enjoys reading and playing the flute.

Programs Manager, Education
Adaku is a senior at Hillgrove High School in Georgia, and she is passionate about mathematics. As the Education Programs Manager, she is eager to provide more opportunities for women seeking various STEM fields. Adaku enjoys hanging out with friends and playing the piano.

Rebecca Chung
Programs Manager, Mentorship
Rebecca is a junior at the Dalton School in New York City. She is interested in many different facets of STEM such as engineering, chemistry, coding, machine learning, computer-aided design, and materials. Through her role as the Mentorship Programs Manager for WiSTEM and ambassador of her school’s chapter, she hopes to make mentorship opportunities more accessible and fulfilling to girls interested in STEM. In her free time, she teaches kids in a STEM afterschool program, plays the violin and piano, watches the Yankees, and is on a quest to make the perfect ceramic teapot!

Ava is a senior at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, California. She has a passion for various STEM subjects, including Biology and Chemistry, and she enjoys participating in events such as Science Olympiad and Brain Bee. In her role with the outreach department at WiSTEM, she aims to connect with people from all around the world.

Bhavya is a senior and a Regional Outreach Director with WiSTEM. She joined as a freshman to address the gender gap in STEM and has since developed a passion for advocacy and empowering women. Bhavya aspires to become a biomedical engineer and travel the world advocating for better healthcare access in underserved areas.

Macoura is a senior at Paint Branch High School in Maryland and serves as a Regional Outreach Manager for WiSTEM. She is focused on expanding the organization to regions all over the world, so that she can get a step closer to closing the gender gap in the STEM field for women. In her free time, Macoura enjoys baking, crocheting and reading romance novels.

Mia is a senior from New Jersey and a Regional Outreach Manager for WiSTEM. As the founder and president of her school’s WiSTEM club, she is very passionate about empowering young women in STEM and expanding opportunities within the field. In her role within the outreach department, she supports new ambassadors in creating and developing their chapters. In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, and baking.
