Featuring Genesis Maldonado

Génesis Maldonado from Honduras joins us for this Meet a Member Monday segment. She’s a senior and co-ambassador for the DelCampo chapter with a strong passion for chemical engineering and environmental sustainability. 

Her dedication to helping her community and making STEM resources more accessible is truly inspiring. Maldonado has been a part of Women in STEM for two years now and aside from her involvement in the organization, she is working on laboratory research.

She hopes to encourage others to try new things even if they’re unsure at first. “If [people] feel like curiosity for [a subject] first … we want to make sure they don't feel intimidated by it,” Maldonado said, “It’s never too late to find your like your career path.”
